My name is Alease Kinney. This will be my second school year at ELES, but my first year starting the year with my class. I am so excited to be your child's teacher! I completed my undergraduate studies at Roanoke College and my graduate studies at James Madison University. As your child's teacher, I am dedicated in gaining knowledge and experience in the field of education. I have previously worked at a preschool in southwestern Virginia as well as serve as a Christian educator at my church. This will be my second year teaching third grade. The most important feature of teaching is the ability to foster relationships with children and teach them that there is someone who cares about them and their safety. It is important to take the job of educating our young children very seriously, while still learning from children and accepting their differences and the different cultures each child brings to the classroom. I am so excited to get to know the students and I can't wait to help young children learn and change the world we live in for the better!
